Most open-source projects build on existing work, and Xcruciate is no exception.
At the heart of Xacerbate is Daniel Veillard's LibXSLT, which itself uses LibXML2. Xacerbate also uses Perl-compatible regular expressions.
Xiguous is written in XSLT 1.0 and makes use of a range of EXSLT extensions.
The Xcruciate wrapper script and Xteriorize are written in perl 5 and use various CPAN modules including Getopt::Long, Mail::Sender, Net::CIDR, Net::Server::PreFork, Time::HiRes, XML::LibXML and XML::Writer.
Xtravagate is written in Tcl/Tk using Activestate's ActiveTCL distribution. Compiled versions of Xtravagate have been produced using Activestate's TclApp.
