There are lots of fine content management systems around, but none of them integrates tightly with Xacerbate. The main justification for Xcathedra is to be able to tie together virtual world and website interaction in new and exciting ways.
There's also some appeal in being able to build websites in XSLT and XML without needing a glue language.
Apart from that, some wheels just need to be reinvented from time to time, but Mark says that this is going to be his last CMS. Really.
